Life This Weekend

FOR THIS WEEKEND
Our Lady of Victory, pray for us
The Holy Rosary
Our Weekend Activities
Boys camping for scouts, Greek Festival in Houston Friday night, Mass, Sunday school, taxi kids to friends activities, Rosary Procession our parish.Sunday afternoon

Outside my window...
pretty, sunny and in the low 80's with a gentle breeze(dropped cold on Sunday). Very nice for camping, festivals & outdoor projects.
I am thinking...
I am praying for...
intentions again:yours, mine and our country's
and for people to pray for the right decision on who to vote for
(hint - not Obama).
I am thankful...
that Craig took Nicholas to the Ad Alteri Dei retreat. It sounds like they had a good time. They realized that this merit badge is a big deal. Some equated it to a Catholic Eagle, but this only takes 6 months, and Eagle, well, takes years. Also, very thankful for Father Pat of St. Simon and Jude and Troop 204 of the Woodlands who invited and hosted Nicholas. Lets be honest, not too many priests give up a weekend to camp for the sake of scouts. We have been blessed to know a few of these priests that do over our boys' scouting lives.
In the kitchen...
made  peanut butter, chocolate chip, oatmeal cookies (all in one cookie) and brownies, and corn side dish for tomorrow's rosary procession and BBQ  Molly made a hash brown bacon potato casserole.
I am watching...
well, just because I was up early and couldn't go back to sleep and cable tv had it playing:
Pride and Prejudice - the Kiera Knightly version
A favorite quote/verse/prayer for today...
"You're entitled, Mr. President, as the president to your own airplane and your own house, but not to your own facts,"
Romney told Obama during debate

There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, "All right, then, have it your way."
C. S. Lewis

One of my favorite things...
Religious Processions ! Such joy praising God and honoring our Blessed Mother Mary
A few plans for the rest of the week:
scouts, piano, farm visit, classes, girls/boys group, plan Euly's 11th birthday and make party/no party decision, ortho
Something that made me chuckle...
Lilly really really like the Greek Festival souvlaki tenderloin on a stick
